CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Project Financial Analyst to join our Infrastructure – Sector Finance Team working remotely in California.  

 

This position offers fully remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities may be required if you are located near a CHA office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams including financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology and operational services.  These teams may also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.

 

The Sr. Project Financial Analyst is a key member of the Sector Finance’s Project Financial Management team and plays a critical role in the successful management of contracts throughout a project’s lifecycle. Often assigned to more complex projects and key clients, this individual will provide consistent billing, reporting, and sound financial counsel for our businesses and project managers. In this role, the Sr. Project Financial Analyst will support project financial integration of newly acquired business into the legacy entity including data validation, helping communicate new processes, partnering with the broader finance team to deliver training, and troubleshooting integration issues as they arise.

 

The Sr. Project Financial Analyst will work with various finance and non-finance functions to support controls, accounting transactions, analyses, and audits. The professional in this role will interact with clients to ensure client accounts and receivables are current, including maintaining contact with clients’ A/P and becoming proficient with any external client billing portals to ensure proper invoice submission and timely payment. Additionally, the Sr. Project Financial Analyst may be called upon to assist or advise junior team members with questions and provide mentorship to new hires and transitioning employees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of Project Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis or similar activity required
  • Public agency invoicing experience preferred
  • Prior experience with ERP integrations strongly desired
  • Proven experience with CalTrans or other DOT / public agency invoicing (understanding of requirements, submission formats, portals, and compliance requirements)
  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting and invoicing practices, particularly those in an engineering or construction firm
  • Understanding of business systems, financial tracking and project management systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting and invoicing practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong ability to function successfully in team environment with matrix responsibilities
  • Ability to collaborate and mentor other team members to achieve high quality work products
  • Extremely organized and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience with Deltek Vision or comparable Enterprise accounting system preferred
  • Previous work experience in a professional services or project-oriented field
  • Experience in a rapid-paced and high-volume environment

SALARY RANGE:

$37.50 - $49.00

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
