CHA Consulting Inc. (Albany, NY) Engineer II. This position will assist in the design development, implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. This position will also aid senior engineering staff members in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks.

YOUR IMPACT

Specifically, this position will perform the following duties:

 

  • Participate in the development of preliminary design concepts and makes simple comparative cost analysis or writes preliminary specifications;
  • Aid in the development of computation methods, technical reports and specifications at the direction of a mid or senior level engineer using the standards established by the technical group;
  • Recognize technical discrepancies in analytical results, makes appropriate corrections and follows standard procedures established by the technical group;
  • Develop a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards;
  • Understand project budgeting process;
  • Accompany senior engineering staff on field assignments when appropriate;
  • Adhere to project budgets; and
  • Perform other related engineering duties.

REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the minimum of a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering and an engineering in training (EIT), Engineer Intern, or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate. The successful candidate must also have two (2) years of civil engineering experience, which includes two (2) years of experience with the following:

 

  • AutoCAD, SewerGEMS, RTK Antenna and GIS Field Mobile application; and
  • Handling request for proposal and bid documents.

SALARY RANGE:

$86,778.00 - $90,000.00

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
