CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Transportation Permitting Section Manager to join our Infrastructure – Bridge Team at our Burlington, MA; Hartford, CT; Norwell, MA; Boston, MA; or Providence, RI office.

The Transportation Permitting Section Manager, an important technical leadership role at CHA, leads an effective and productive team of technical professionals. This individual’s success is measured by their team's technical quality, achieving team utilization targets, engaging, and motivating their team to go above and beyond, and effective management of project budgets. The Transportation Permitting Section Manager organizes, directs, and coordinates activities associated with the project scope of work either individually or collectively with their team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ related experience required; previous project or team management experience preferred
  • Valid US driver's license required
  • Familiarity with Environmental/Bridge permitting and State DOT required
  • CADOT and MADOT familiarity strongly preferred
  • Has proficient theoretical scientific knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel as well as ArcMap or basic GIS Mapping required
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist colleagues
  • Must have the ability to work in the field in different weather conditions
  • Must be able to physically navigate in the field
  • Technically astute and strategic in thinking to manage the activity within the team
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • A high energy, results-oriented, resourceful leader
  • Ability to resolve matters timely and lead projects to completion with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, build and manage relationships across the company
  • Experience with project budgeting preferred
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of accounting processes
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the discipline’s technical processes
  • License/certification in technical discipline is preferred 

SALARY RANGE:

$115,000 - $130,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
