CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Construction Inspection Team in Albany, NY where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the infrastructure that moves communities forward. This is your opportunity to work side-by-side with seasoned professionals to oversee vital transportation projects, sharpen your expertise in construction inspection, and help deliver high-quality, sustainable infrastructure.

• Oversee and coordinate a major construction project or multiple complex initiatives, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards
• Direct on-site construction inspection activities, maintaining rigorous quality assurance and contract compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, chairing project meetings and facilitating clear communication among stakeholders
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, verify contractor pay quantities, and manage contract administration records with precision
• Lead and mentor field inspection staff, collaborating with designers to resolve challenges and drive project success
• Champion safety, regulatory compliance, and innovative solutions that keep projects on track and within budget
• Travel locally and occasionally out-of-area to support project needs

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 15 years of construction inspection experience required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel preferred
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interpret complex contracts
• Deep knowledge of construction industry standards and best practices
• Physical ability to navigate active job sites and adapt to varying field conditions
• NICET Level IV certification or PE license preferred

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
