CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Drinking Water Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Indianapolis, IN and lead the way in designing, developing, and implementing innovative water treatment solutions. This is your opportunity to take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a pivotal role in advancing our technical capabilities for sustainable, resilient infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for water treatment projects
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Design and optimize water treatment facilities for both public and industrial applications, prioritizing water quality, regulatory compliance, and public health protection
  • Assess and improve aging infrastructure to enhance reliability and resilience of water distribution systems
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital water infrastructure
  • Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
  • Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Proficient in all aspects of water treatment design from supply to treatment plant and distribution system
  • Knowledge of water treatment design standards
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, Plant3D, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$105,000 - $120,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
