CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Fire Protection to join our Fire Protection Services Team in Birmingham or Cullman, AL. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in cutting-edge solutions that address the most challenging fire risks for industrial, commercial, and design-build projects.

• Oversee every phase of fire protection projects, from planning to design and implementation, ensuring quality and efficiency at every step
• Build and nurture client partnerships, understanding their needs and delivering creative, cost-effective solutions for fire sprinkler systems, alarms, suppression systems, and more
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, project documentation, and daily correspondence with clients and subcontractors
• Take charge of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, while ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting
• Lead monthly project review meetings, communicating progress and updates to clients, management, and project teams
• Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72, AHJ standards, and regulatory requirements
• Embrace a “seller/doer” mindset, actively developing new business opportunities and expanding services provided

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of fire sprinkler experience; minimum of 4 years of project management experience required
• NICET certification preferred
• Proven ability to prepare proposals, project plans, authorizations, and closeout documents
• Strong skills in project accounting, budgeting, and financial management
• Experience interpreting client contracts and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Articulate communicator who adapts messaging for diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
• Ability to travel as needed
• Consulting industry experience highly preferred

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
