CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Section Manager to join our Environmental Team in Albany, NY; Atlanta, GA; or Boston, NY and serve as a leader in our geotechnical discipline. • Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to environmental projects, including site investigation, remediation, hazardous materials management, and ecological permitting—from initial assessment through planning and design
• Collaborate with environmental team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
• Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical environmental initiatives
• Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline required
• Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience; previous project or team management experience preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Settle 3D, Slide, LPILE, Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in aviation infrastructure and systems
• Strategic thinker with the ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
• An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
• Experience with project budgeting preferred; basic understanding of accounting processes
• Active participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

• Lead challenging environmental projects that promote environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and community revitalization
• Mentor and inspire junior engineers and scientists dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions
• Collaborate with talented professionals across disciplines in a flexible work environment

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
