CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Traffic/ITS Engineer to join our Traffic ITS Team in Miami, FL, where you’ll lead advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems projects, collaborate with agencies to optimize mobility, and deliver solutions that make a real difference in our communities.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of traffic ITS project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measures
  • Serve as a “seller/doer,” developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areas
  • Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
  • Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
  • Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards
  • Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are met

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Transportation Engineering or related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required; minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong knowledge of NEMA, 2070, and ATC controllers, including firmware and software
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed signal operating plans, cabinet hook-up charts and electrical schematics
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Certification Level II or higher preferred
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project accounting processes with excellent communication skills
  • Experience preparing proposals and project documentation as well as interpreting client contracts
  • Active participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $160,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
