CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our Generation & Energy Management Team in Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; Norwell, MA; or Hartford, CT. This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful work, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, and drive innovations that support highdemand environments and nextgeneration technology facilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for innovative energy projects
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues for clients in manufacturing, advanced technology, and energy sectors
  • Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
  • Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Experience with and strong understanding of HVAC systems, water-side and air-side systems and equipment, and testing of these systems
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) required
  • Experience with life safety, plumbing, LEED, and envelope commissioning is a plus
  • General knowledge of, and the ability to commission, lighting, and power systems is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
  • Certified Building Commissioning Professional is a plus

Salary Range:

$100,000 - $120,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
