CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electric Transmission Engineer V to join our Electric Transmission Team in Atlanta, GA, where you will lead complex initiatives that strengthen grid reliability and enhance power delivery. In this pivotal role, you’ll help modernize transmission infrastructure, support renewable energy integration, and deliver solutions that promote a sustainable energy future.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for electric transmission infrastructure, including overhead lines, underground transmission, and grid-hardening upgrades
  • Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of electric transmission engineering
  • Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutions that enhance grid resiliency and energy efficiency
  • Develop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraints
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and support
  • Deliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agencies

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices across various areas
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $140,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
