CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Project Team Leader – Midwest to join our Electric Distribution Team, working remotely while supporting utility and energy clients across the region. In this role, you will guide multidisciplinary teams, oversee impactful electric distribution projects, and help advance resilient, reliable, and sustainable energy infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and inspire a team of electric distribution professionals, keeping a pulse on team morale and engagement and fostering engagement, collaboration, and technical excellence
  • Oversee staffing levels, resource allocation, and operational activities to support the successful delivery of electric distribution projects
  • Mentor and develop technical staff and managers, promoting highquality work that meets safety, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Directly manage electric distribution projects of varying size and complexity—from planning and proposals through execution and closeout
  • Monitor project financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support business practice goals
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with leadership and project teams, sharing performance updates, milestones, and successes
  • Champion quality control, risk management, and project audits to ensure reliable, compliant, and resilient electric distribution solutions

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of combined project management and technical leadership experience required
  • Strong background in business development and client relationships
  • Proven success as a leader—strategic, technically astute, and client-focused
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; persuasive and articulate in all settings
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and build relationships across the company
  • Strong experience with project budgeting and financial oversight
  • Professional technical licensure required or equivalent professional experience

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $145,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
