CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Construction Administration Architect to join our Architectural & Structural Team in Albany, NY. This pivotal role is uniquely focused on providing technical architectural leadership during construction, with a longterm assignment supporting two large, highly technical projects in the Albany area (alongside additional smaller projects). This is an opportunity to serve as a key onsite architectural authority, guide complex construction efforts, mentor team members, and make a lasting impact on the built environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as CHA’s primary point of contact during construction administration including overseeing customary management of RFIs, PCOs, submittals, construction observation, and other CA activities
  • Provide technical architectural oversight, managing on-site activities 2–3 days per week at Albanyarea project locations
  • Lead the design and delivery of large, technically complex projects—including a major DOT laboratory facility— from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with government regulations, zoning codes, and industry standards
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and sound architectural judgment in solving technical challenges in the field and advancing project goals
  • Mentor and coordinate junior staff and project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
  • Travel as needed to project sites and client meetings, supporting successful project execution

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional architectural experience required
  • Registered Architect license required; LEED accreditation preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, and/or AutoCAD required; knowledge of Newforma preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand architectural requirements and resolve technical challenges on-site
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and business practices related to architecture

Salary Range:

$115,000 - $130,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
