CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager II – Water to join our Water Team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of complex water/wastewater projects—aligning scope, schedule, budget, and risk while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. This is an excellent opportunity to guide multidisciplinary teams, support business development efforts, and help deliver resilient infrastructure solutions that protect communities and support sustainable growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead full lifecycle project management for complex water/wastewater projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment
  • Prepare and oversee proposals, coordinating with internal technical teams and market staff to develop winning strategies and comprehensive project plans
  • Oversee contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and all project documentation, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and regulatory standards
  • Drive project financial performance, including revenue, forecasting, cash flow, and profitability, while maintaining strong fiscal oversight throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead resource planning, subcontractor selection, and project execution strategies in coordination with technical leadership
  • Facilitate regular client and internal progress meetings, providing clear updates and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders
  • Mentor and support Project Managers and technical staff, helping guide team development, strengthen delivery capabilities, and elevate overall performance
  • Contribute to business development efforts, supporting market growth strategies and expanding client relationships within target sectors

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or a related discipline required
  • Minimum of 13 years of industry experience required; minimum of 10 years of project management experience required
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects, budgets, and client relationships within a consulting environment
  • Proven ability to prepare proposals, project plans, and project closeout documentation
  • Strong understanding of project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Experience interpreting and managing client contract requirements and coordinating subcontractors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence teams and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or PMP certification preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed

Salary Range:

$135.00 - $165.00

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
