Lead Transformative Building Design Projects as a Sr. Project Manager – Shape Spaces That Strengthen Communities

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Architecture & Structural Team in Boston, MA; Albany, NY; or Syracuse, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary building design projects, strengthen client relationships, and help deliver thoughtful, high-performing spaces that support the people and communities they serve.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage all aspects of building design projects through design and construction administration, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measures
  • Lead architecture and structural projects across public and private markets, including municipal, institutional, educational, healthcare, housing, industrial, and community-focused facilities
  • Serve as a “seller/doer,” developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areas
  • Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
  • Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
  • Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards
  • Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are met

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or related field required
  • Minimum of 11 years of industry experience required; minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
  • Consulting industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to prepare proposals, schedules, budgets, and closeout documentation
  • Strong background in client relationship management and responsive communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience with project accounting processes and financial oversight
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with collaboration experience
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • PMP certification, Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent professional license preferred

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $145,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
