CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Structural Engineer to join our Bridge Team in Cleveland, OH or Columbus, OH, where you'll play a key role in the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of bridge and transportation structure projects. What You'll Do:

  • Independently complete bridge engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for bridge and transportation projects
  • Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership
  • Support the planning, design, inspection, evaluation, rehabilitation, and replacement of bridges and related transportation structures to improve safety, reliability, and mobility
  • Identify and resolve technical discrepancies related to bridge systems and structural performance, applying standard procedures and best practices for public safety and infrastructure resilience
  • Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve operational issues and minimize delays in critical bridge and transportation infrastructure projects
  • Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including field assignments

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
  • Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $105,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
