CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Water Team in Wilmington, DE. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will build practical inspection skills while contributing to water and wastewater projects that support reliable service, environmental stewardship, and community well-being.

What You'll Do:

  • Observe and monitor water and wastewater construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards, including watermain and pipeline installation
  • Record field observations, measurements, and computations to verify work performed
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate project records
  • Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • No prior experience required; prior construction or observation experience a plus
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications; knowledge of construction techniques
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license required; extensive travel may be required

Salary Range:

$22.00 - $28.00

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
